Uzbekistan is an outstanding place. Most of its magnificent exotic sites are more than two millennia old. This country of ancient civilizations used to be a part of the Silk Road.  Later on these lands were conquered by Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and Timur. It is important to visit great splendid mosques and mausoleums of Samarkand, look into the Ark fortress and old town of Bukhara, wander along twisting narrow streets of ancient Khiva. But for better idea of what is Uzbeksitan we offer to see the places beyond the standard itinerary.

All Central Asia

Central Asia is as geographically diverse as it is historically rich. It is a vast arena of desert, steppe and mountain ranges. For more than 2000 years Central Asia was involved in ancient east-west trade and a significant part of Silk Road was going through its territory. During this 3-week trip we will visit Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. All of them got their borders fixed in the 1920s as the republics of the USSR and became sovereign states after the collapse of Soviet Union.
