Russian Capitals and Golden Ring towns by train

The "Golden Ring" is already a world known tourist route around ancient cities and towns of central Russia. In fact, the brand "Golden Ring" appeared only 50 years ago. Once a Soviet journalist who wrote a set of articles about old Russian towns thought that these towns make a kind of circle and thus would make a nice tourist route. So he took his friends, and they visited Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl Zalessky, Rostov the Great, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Suzdal and Vladimir. Being greatly impressed by their dramatic history and beauty of shining onion-shaped gilded domes in every town, the travellers called this route the "Golden Ring". Our tour starts in Moscow, the capital of Russia and passes through the majority of the Golden Ring towns finishing in St. Petersburg. Though the latter is not a part of the Golden Ring route, we are sure you will enjoy this splendid city, the former Russian capital as well.
