Northen lands of European Russia have been inhabited for a long time. Up to know there are many wonderfully carved wooden churches and chapels, pretty houses left and lost in small villages in the middle of the forest. KHIBINY MOUNTAINS
Located on the Kola Peninsula these mountains represent well northern landscape. Khibiny are not very high, and the entire region was influenced greatly by the past glacier, so typical elements of glacial landscape are found everywhere. This is a nice place for easy trekking and is also nice for skiing in early spring.

Khibiny Mountains

Khibiny is not very high mountain massif on the Kola peninsula, located  almost 150 km to the north from the Polar Circle. The highest altitude is Chasnachorr mountain - 1191m. Here the traveler can enjoy quick succession of landscapes including tundra which is unique for the European mountain systems. It makes Khibiny inimitable in their beauty.

The trip starts with sightseeing in St.Petersburg: world-known Hermitage, Peterhof – summer residence of Russian tsars, with its splendid palace and wonderful park famous for its fountains. The city itself is like an open-air museum beautifully located on the banks of the Neva river which flows into the Baltic Sea.But we will continue our trip and fly to Arkhangelsk which is situated close to the White Sea coast.
