FACTS

FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
We stay in nice small hotels which have rather simple facilities but are comfortable enough for the purposes of the program. The guests stay in double rooms. All food within the program is included.

EQUIPMENT, WEATHER AND CLOTHES
Apart from basic items such as a daypack, you will need to bring your own skis, good ski clothing, an avalanche transceiver and a thermos flask. The ski shop and ski hire service is very poor in the area so please come prepared. The guides are extremely versatile and skilled at carrying out minor emergency repairs. As flying is to a certain extent weather dependant it is not possible to give precise daily programs. In an average season it is possible to fly on more than half of the days.

HEALTH MATERS AND DOCUMENTS
Our ground staff include medically trained personnel with a supply of medical equipment. There is a fully equipped hospital located 40km from the hotel. No special inoculations are required. It is the responsibility of all individuals to finance on-the-spot medical treatment and other contingencies and then to reclaim this from their insurance company on return. Individuals should make sure their insurance covers mountain rescue and also ensure that it provides adequate protection for expensive equipment. Please keep details of all documentation which may be necessary when making a claim. A visa is required.
