The three Caucasian countries, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, lying  between Caspian and Black Seas are not so large and it is possible to see them all at a time. This trip can be called "A glance on the Caucasus". We will certainly see all the most important, exotic and ancient places of interest in  these countries. But a fortnight is not enough to feel the nature of these places and get the spirit of these people.

This holiday is designed to visit Georgia, its famous sights, the most interesting places connected historically with the Great Silk Road, major cities, architectural and historical monuments, caved towns and monasteries, popular resorts and mountainous provinces. Armenians are the oldest Christian nation in the world. Armenia became the first country to adopt Christianity as the official state religion in 301 AD. Armenian Apostolic  Church developed separately from both the Catholic and Orthodox Branches of Christianity. Armenia is an ancient country that was once as a great power, it only for a short period. The realm of King Tigranes II, in the 1st century BC, stretched from the Caspian Sea to Syria and the Mediterranean, before it was conquered by the Romans.

Azerbaijan has very rich history. In the pre-Islamic period the territory of Azerbaijan was known as Albania. From the times of ancient Media (9th c. B.C.) and the Persian Empire (6th -4th B.C.), Azerbaijan had been sharing the history of what is now Iran. In Azerbaijan there are attractive landscapes, historical and architectural monuments and colorful fine arts and some of the world famous carpets. The country is also famous for its ancient Zoroastrian fire temples and oil production.

During the trip we will stay in good hotels ***. For example, in Baku (Azerbaijan's capital) the hotel*** Azerbaijan is located in the center of the city overlooking the Caspian Sea. There are two restaurants, three bars, casino, gift shops, laundry, and hairdressing salon in the hotel. 600 rooms equipped with color TV, telephone, air conditioner. In Sheki we stay in the hotel Caravanserai. There are only 40 rooms which are decorated with Oriental carpets and traditional mufflers to imitate the interiors of an old Caravanserai. The hotel has an inner courtyard with fountain, restaurant with national cuisine, two bars, tee room, gift shop, laundry.

In Yerevan  and Tbilisi we also stay in ***hotels.

All daily  meals are included in the initial price. You will have an opportunity not only to eat in good European restaurants, but also taste good national cuisine. 

 

Visas to all three Caucasian countries are required. Obtaining visas is not included into the initial service. Geographic Bureau will provide you with visa support (standard invitation for visa application). Details will be send with the pre-departure information.

 

This is probably the best opportunity for those who want to see all of the most important and remarkable places in the Caucasus. Lying very close to each other Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia are so different inside that even after a short visit you will never ever mix them.
