Armenia is an ancient country that was once as a great power, but only for a short period. The realm of King Tigranes II, in the 1st century BC, stretched from the Caspian Sea to Syria and the Mediterranean, before it was conquered by the Romans. In Armenia we will see famous Sevan Lake, magnificent ancient cave monasteries and churches and see Garni, the only Hellenic temple in the former USSR. By the way Armenia was the first country in the world that accepted Christianity in 301.
